Allan John Cunynghame was born on the 14th January 1954 in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
Allan is a well known member of the local Bathurst community who first gained recognition through his sporting achievements in Motorcycle racing. Allan was selected to represent Australia on three separate occasions for the International 6 Day Enduro (known as the Olympics of Motorcycling), winning a silver medal in Italy in 1981.
Allan has competed in 9 Australian Safari's winning the event outright in 1986, and has won his class on no less than 7 occasions, and has never finished outside the top ten outright. Allan last won his class in 2003 competing for the Yamaha Factory Team at the age of 49 years. An achievement envied by his peers.
He has also competed in the Mexican Baja 1000 on 12 occasions. Showing his true versatility swapping from off road to an on road bike, Allan set a class record at the internationally famous Mount Panorama in Bathurst. He has also had international experience in Asia, winning the 600cc class at the Grand Prix circuit in Johor Malaysia. Allan has been a test rider for Moto Guzzi and was a member of their factory off road team for 4 years. As a test rider, Allan tested motorcycles for Yamaha and Moto Guzzi, and was a member of their factory off road team.
Allan has been self employed since the age of 19. He had for many years owned and operated a successful Motorcycle business in Bathurst and is at present a major shareholder and managing director of Multitool International. He is also a major shareholder and director of Motonation Inc and Ciclista America in the United States of America.
With Allan's wealth of sporting and business achievements, he is able to bring a unique perspective to any project he undertakes.
